Reset, Reconnect, Renew with Ritual Reconnection, Jenette's New Ayurvedic Detoxification Treatment

There are times in life when we don’t need another thing on our to-do list. We need a pause. Maybe your child just left for college and the rhythm of your home suddenly feels different. Maybe you’re coming back from an illness, navigating a particularly stressful season at work, or carrying tension in your jaw, neck, and shoulders. Or maybe you simply have that feeling that you’ve been moving through life at full speed and could really use a moment to come back to yourself.

That’s the inspiration behind Ritual Reconnection, our new 90-minute Ayurvedic Detoxification Treatment. Created by Jenette, our founder and skincare alchemist-in-chief, this deeply holistic experience brings together breathwork, myofascial release, acupressure, lymphatic drainage, massage, and Jenette’s signature facial. It’s part bodywork. Part skincare. Part Ayurvedic-inspired ritual. And most of all, it’s an invitation to slow down, release tension, and reconnect.

A Detoxifying and Restorative Ritual for Reconnection

Jenette has spent nearly 30 years exploring the connection between skin, wellness, and the body as a whole. Her journey has included extensive exploration of holistic skincare and Ayurvedic practices, including the Ayurvedic concept of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Over time, she continues to refine her approach to detoxification, taking what she has learned and experienced; developing a treatment that feels uniquely her own. The result is Ritual Reconnection!

According to Ayurvedic women’s health expert Dr. Vrinda Devani, "an Ayurvedic cleanse offers a gentle, holistic way to support your body, mind and emotions by creating space for renewal and balance. Rooted in ancient wisdom, this practice goes beyond detoxing to help you reconnect with your natural rhythms and inner clarity."

In short: a reconnection to your breath, to your health, to your spirit, body and skin.

The deeply healing and restorative treatment brings together several different modalities, each with its own purpose, into one continuous experience:

Breathwork: Start with the Exhale

We often don’t notice how much our breathing changes when we’re stressed. It becomes shallow, hurried, almost an afterthought. Breathwork brings our attention back to something that is always with us: the breath itself. Beginning the treatment with intentional breathing creates an opportunity to slow down, settle in, and become more present in the body.

"Breath is the connector, connecting us to atmosphere, and the lungs hug the heart – quite literally. When we learn to hug our hearts, to welcome the Earth’s breath as our own, we meet how much life loves living life. We are safe again to live. Traumas come loose and release," says Los Angeles-based breathwork healer David Elliot.

Myofascial Release: Let the Body Unclench

If you’ve ever carried stress in your shoulders, neck, back, or jaw, you already understand how emotions and physical tension can become intertwined. Myofascial release focuses on the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles and other structures throughout the body.

According to Cleveland Clinic, myofascial release uses gentle, sustained pressure to address areas of tightness in these tissues. Think of it as encouraging the body to soften rather than forcing it to relax. Within Ritual Reconnection, this work is especially meaningful for anyone who tends to hold stress physically.

Acupressure: Heal with Intentional Touch

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese practice involving pressure applied to specific points on the body. While its traditional roots are connected to the concept of balancing energy, modern research continues to explore how stimulating these points may influence pain perception and other physiological responses.

Lymphatic Drainage: Just Let Go

The lymphatic system is an important part of the body’s fluid-management and immune systems. Lymphatic drainage massage uses gentle, rhythmic techniques to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid through the body.

Within Ritual Reconnection, the technique is intentionally gentle—another way to encourage the body toward a feeling of lightness and ease. And if you’ve ever experienced a really good lymphatic treatment, you know: gentle does not mean insignificant.

Massage: Relax into Bliss

Then comes massage — the part where you get to stop doing anything. Massage has a wonderfully simple purpose within this ritual: helping the body relax while giving you the opportunity to become completely still. Just time to receive.

And Then: Jenette’s Signature Facial

Ritual Reconnection also includes Jenette's signature facial, customized to your skin’s needs. It begins with a consultation, followed by a thorough cleanse, exfoliation, and detoxifying treatment. Depending on what your skin needs, steam and extractions may also be included.

The result is skin that feels refreshed, nurtured, and renewed.

Why Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, which Jenette has been studying extensively, one of India’s traditional systems of medicine and is rooted in an approach to health that considers the whole person rather than focusing on a single symptom or body part. At the heart of Ayurvedic philosophy is the idea of balance — and of paying attention to the individual. Because what restores one person may not restore another.

If you’ve explored Ayurveda before, you’ve probably heard of the three so-called doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Very simply, the doshas represent different combinations of qualities and elements within Ayurvedic philosophy. Ayurveda uses these concepts to understand people’s patterns of balance and imbalance.

Vata
Creative, airy, intuitive, and ever-changing. When out of balance, Vata can feel scattered, restless, or depleted.

Pitta
Fiery, driven, and discerning. When out of balance, Pitta can feel overheated, irritable, or overly intense.

Kapha
Grounded, nurturing, steady, and calm. When out of balance, Kapha can feel heavy, sluggish, or stuck.

The Ritual Continues After the Treatment

After your treatment, Jenette will offer you a warm cup of tea, such as Triphala, a traditional Ayurvedic herbal blend made from three fruits — amalaki, bibhitaki, and haritaki.

She also encourages you to take the rest of your day slowly. Drink water. Give yourself some quiet. Resist the temptation to immediately jump back into the whirlwind or be on your phone. Let yourself linger in that post-treatment feeling for a little while. Because perhaps the most important part of any ritual is what happens when you carry it back into your everyday life.
